Hey,

I am really new to DNN, and am about to start a project for a client, but am unsure as to wether I should use DNN or not. My friend has told me to go for it but wanted some professional advice, I just want to know if I can do everything I need to do with this website, and there will be no limitations down the track.

The website I am building starts off as a very simple website to promote this guys business, he wants a few information pages plus a content management system. So far I know DNN can provide this for me. However I would also like to know the following things:

1. Can I completely control the look of the site? I am a good graphic designer and would like to know I can basically change the look of the site however I want.

2. Payment - down the track this guy would like users to be able to buy and pay for services using the website. How hard is it to integrate say PayPAl and credit card features into the site?

Ok thats all the questions of have for now. I have allready read a few tutorials using DNN Creative but still cant find answers to these questions.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Welcome at DotNetNuke!

1. yes, have a look at the Skinnng Guide, available from Documentation page in Resources menu above and the videos at dnncreative.com

2. There is basic Paypal support out of the box and I suggest to have a look at the subscription services from www.ventrian.com.

ALso, there is a Store Module which provides basic store functionality and there are several commercial eCommerce modules, some of which are targeted at different audiences from small 5-10 item shops to storefronts handling thousands of products and extensive business rules.
