I understand the motivation behind moderating forums, but it greatly slows down the pace of conversation.  Was the DNN forum here ever not-moderated?  Were problems encountered?  I would LOVE to see my posts, replies, etc, go up immediately.  Does anyone else feel this way?  Is there a role where trusted users can post without going to a moderator?  This would reduce their workload, I'd imagine (we're all busy people!).

Any comments?

  • these forums are (and have always been) moderated for novice users, after a number of complient posts you will get unmoderated
  • Besides, Benefactors get unmoderated immediately
  • Moderation helps us to keep up the forums guidelines and avoid spamming.

I guess I should have read the rules!  Thanks for the useful info!  One of the reasons I've not used these forums extensively up until now was because I had to wait for posts to go up (I had a different userid in the past).  Now I know to just hold on for a while!

Regards

Keep up the forums guidelines? How about this and this? How could they get approved in announcement forum? IMHO it's those who are under moderation keep up the guidelines.
