I want to give away an ebook to new members.

I've loaded the ebook in the file manager but I can't figure out a way to hyperlink to it from the bonus page.

How do I create that link?

Thanks in advance for your help

Assuming you uploaded into the root of the file manager under admin, the link will look something like this:

http://www.mysite.com/portals/0/my-doc.pdf

Jackie,

you need to place a module on a page to add content, which can point to a file (or another URL) you would like to present. There are a number of the core modules, which allows to add links, starting with Links and Text/HTML module which are installed by default, but also Documents, Repository and UserDefinedTable module allow adding links, please check out the online help or available manuals for details.
