When a module is max/min (expanded/collapsed) on a page, where is the state stored?  Is the settign saved per user account or per browser?  Does it persist between sessions/logins or how is this maintained?  ie if a user sets certain modules as collapsed will they maintain these settings across sessions?

That's a great question!  My first intuition is that it is a client-side cookie.
