Hi All I'm currently using VS Web Developer to build a DNN 4.4 website. I am thinking of editing the users database table in order to accommodate a new field called 'Code'. However, how should i go about to change the UserInfo class within the DotNetNuke namespace so that it will have the property for 'Code'? I have the source file for UserInfo.vb. Is it that i have to add a new property in UserInfo.vb and then rebuild the whole website in order to generate a new DotNetNuke.dll? If so, how do i generate the new DotNetNuke.dll referencing the new UserInfo.vb using VWD? An advice will be greatly appreciated.

please do not modify code for the core application, as this will mean you cannot upgrade to newer versions anymore.

Why not just add a new profile property of that same name?

Also, AFAIK, you cannot use VWD to compile the dotnetnuke library project, you'd need VS2005 for that

Thanks for your feedback. Just like to know, if i can't use vwd to compile, then can i instead use vbc/ csc to compile the entire dotnetnuke to generate a new dotnetnuke.dll? I'm not sure of the exact syntax to compile the dotnetnuke dll.
