I think it would be a very easy work to add a google analytics block in the site setting page.

Currently I need to add a empty module and add google analytics code in the module setting's header or footer then click display on all pages. Or to edit the default.aspx directly.

It works but sometime I will miss it when I create a new site or make a mistake to delete that module.

Due to google analytics become more and more popular, I think add it's support on portal's setting page is a important idea...

I started thinking about this, and it's not a bad suggestion.  Really just an off/on and the settings, maybe default to on but could be disabled.  Have you entered this as a suggestion in Gemini?

You can always just put it in your SKIN file

Would be nice to put in one place, but I thought the analytics code had to be in the header section of EACH page in the website.  That's how I have it on one of my non DNN sites.  I thought that was necessary to gather the per-page stats offered?

I have not entered the analytics code in my DNN site yet, but I may do that today.  My assumption was that I needed to drop the code in each page's Page Management/Page HEader Tage window???

Any suggestions from anyone whose done this already?

I put my analytics code in my default.aspx (not the one in the portals folder, but the root folder).  it works fine and even tracks all my portals traffic at once, regaurdless of skin or anything at all.

I'm only using my one domain, www.dnnreactor.com , so I'm not sure what it'll do when other names start pulling up that aren't "child" portals, but we'll find out soon.

pull up my homepage, and view the source, you'll see the code(i'm using the "new" version they have I guess).  Anyhow it seems to be working perfectly that way.
