I'm using a fresh install of DNN4.5.3, and can't edit content of text or link modules. The install was auto-generated by the ISP (WebHost4Life).

We initially modified thepage structure successfully, and added basic content to a few pages.

The text displays fine in the public view. However, in whatever page we visit once we log in, the content of text modules and link modules does not appear. It is as if it is permanently collapsed, even when content is NOT collapsed. Container titles appear, but there is no content text to modify and no text box to modify it in. (Link and Text are the only kind of modules we use at this time.)

We have tried in firefox and IE7, as well as on a Macintosh; same results.

I've tried logging in as admin and host; same results.

I've looked at view/source, and the content of the text container simply isn't going through the wire, not even an empty text box or any other html control to modify text content.

What's up? How can I ever edit this again?

you  accidently hit the "Design button (last lcon in left section of the control center).

Click it again and - like  magic - all content will reappear.
