Hi,

I am planning to start a social web site where the users can register and start their own groups. Each group will have their own private forums. Is DNN the right platform to start with? Thanks!

There are definitely ways to do this in DNN, one of the largest sites doing something like this is www.youthroots.com

dnnCHAT.com a chat room for DotNetNuke discussions

There's also a DNN Groups module (Smart-Thinker UserGroups) - you can see it live on PokerDIY, a poker social networking site. Here you can join groups and write on Group Walls, like Facebook. We also have a cool profiling system (Smart-Thinker UserProfiles mod) which you can see here.

Thanks,
Rodney
