Hello,

I've been using DNN for quite a while, but I haven't known what AD even is! Can anyone explain to me and can it be integrated into ONLINE DNN site? (not Intranet)

I've just purchased the Ultimate Authentication & Multi DNN Signon from Code Freaks. I can't get it to work like the way I imagined (sync child portals' users). Before receiving an answer from the developer, I think I'd better understand what AD actually means. Hope that I didn't waste ~200 bucks.

Thanks,

Duc

Hi Duc,

Here is an article explaining it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_Directory.

Basically it's Microsofts implementation of LDAP.

Thanks Richard,

I've looked at the article but am still confused. Maybe I'll have to investigate it further.

At the moment, the developer of my purchased module asks me to give hime a screenshot of the AD tree so that he can set up the right configuration path. The problem is, although I manage my own server, I don't know how to access the AD tree. Can anyone please tell me what to do?

Much appreciated.

Duc
