I am a tootal noob at creating forms and tools for dnn. Almost no experience with real application programming and I was able to pick up xmod fairly quickly. It was easy to use and conceptually easy to understand. I would say that I would like to have seen some tutorials in their help section of which there are none. In stead they have a library of user created modules that are shared freely and you get your ideas and answers by way of disecting what others have accomplished. These serve the purpose but didn't really match my way of learning. Overall I really like xmod though.

Interesting. I purchased a copy of the latest 1.x version and was trying to build forms with it. After contacting support I was told that it was more of a reporting tool and not really a good fit for building forms.

Is the form support new to 2.0 or is it just something that support isn't backing?

Both Form Master and Enterprise Forms will save data to real database tables which the app creates based on the form you build. Enterprise Forms also allows you to run SQL statements of virtually any kind (SQL text commands, stored procedures, whether in the DNN database or another) in its advanced workflow area.

I like and use both; Enterprise Forms in particular has become a very crucial tool for me due to its advanced features, as well as the fact that since the data is stored in tables, I can then do other things with the data unrelated to Entprise Forms.

I think both of these modules should be considered in such a conversation as this.
