I use 4.6.2 and it's pretty stable - I want to go to 4.8.1 but will wait another few weeks (see if 4.8.2 comes out). I needed the Token Replacement functionality in 4.6.x...

Version 4.8.2 should be the most stable and performant version of DNN available.  It addresses the script manager error sometimes still seen in 4.8.1, includes some additional security hardening, etc.  My recommendation would be to begin with 4.8.2, or to upgrade to it if you are able.  This is likely the last pre-Cambrian (5.x) package that will be released.

What about dnn 4.5.5.  It went thru 5 minor releases.  Would you consider it stable?

I had expected to see 4.5.5 and 4.6.2 mentioned as the most stable of the relatively recent releases. I'm still on 4.5.5 everywhere and it is doing well.

Based on Scott's comments I'll take a close look at 4.8.2 ...

When do you expect 4.8.2 to be released on the downloads tab? That sounds very promising. I noticed that the dotnetnuke site is already 4.8.2.

I appreciate everyone's input!!
