Hello all,

Could someone recommend a good storefront software for DNN? My products are 75% digital and 25% physical. I will also have a subscription membership site. And has anyone ever used Alicommerce or KodHeds Storefront? If so, how is it?

Thanks in advance,

Nicole

That kodheds site is completely bonko if you ask me. One view of their internet marketing video was enough

Alicommerce looks like it will improve a lot in version 2 due out some time soon - suggest you go and have a read of their forums to see how it's coming along. The new Emerald eTailer is perhaps the coolest basic store... it's on Snowcovered and there's a demo up... be specific about your needs and then ask the chap if you're covered. Then there's Yandestore.. no docs, no useful demo, but in active development. Then you get into much more complex but also more capable territory with SDN Store and Catalook. Portal store is somewhere in there as well but is harder to pin down.  eTailer, Yande, Catalook and Portal store have the friendliest licensing; the rest are just a pain. And then you could always blow your bank balance and go to ASP Storefront... or blow the whole DNN scene, save your pennies3 and get a php cart.

You're really going to have to start reading a lot of user guides, feature lists and forum posts.. ther'es no getting around it.

Rob,

Thanks for replying. I have no problem in reading forums and user guides because the books on the market suck and do nothing but repeat what someone has said in the forum. I have dreamweaver and ecart but I can't get the crap to work. What php carts do you recommend. ?

Rob,

The reason I chose DNN is because I don't have money to dish out for the next biggest application. I need to develop my website so I can go live by June 1. I mostly perform business consultant services (business plans, marketing plans, etc) and I have information that will be made available to paid subsribers. I also have an infomation portal. I have two websites. One is a dot com which will be for my services and for related products to sell on IIS . The .net website will be my information portal with blog and chat by discountasp.net . Can both of these be built with DNN?
