Hi,

I'm creating an intranet website that will allow a few of our officers to do a blog.  They will be uploading some files, then linking to them from the blog.

So in the blog entry, or any other text entry module, when you click the link button on the toolbar you get a popup to enter the url.  But if you need to link to something on the server, ie a page or file, you need to click browse server and find the item there.

So, everything's working fine and I go to show it to the CEO(he's one of the bloggers), and of course it doesn't work!  When he clicks browse server, he gets a message to the tune of "A pop-up blocker has prevented this form from showing."  We've turned off all his blockers, hit control when clicking, no good.  I've tried it on a number of other computers and cannot re-create the error, they all work as they should.

Can someone help point me in the right direction before I have to go hunting around on the CEO's machine trial and error style?

The CEO must obviously still have a blocker running... you're going to have to find it. S/he's probably allowed to install things on that PC and might have picked up something dubious off a banner ad.

Try right-clicking the browser toolbar and disable any add-ons like Google, MSN or Yahoo toolbars. Glance at the task bar tray and see if there are any of those safety/security combo apps running... Zonealarm, various antispys, Norton/Symantic... most of these have a context menu option to exit or disable them.

You could also take a USB-key version of Firefox in with you and insert that first just to check that it does work.

Rob
