I am really in need of a method to redirect a user to a specific page only after their verified login. I have a registration work flow that takes the user to a refer a friend page and a upload avatar page. If I redirect after registration, I lose the ability to verify a email address, if I verify a email address I lose th ability to redirect after registration completion....what kind of trade off is this?

Hope there is something out there that can help

Mark

Does the User Page meet your needs for this?

I guess it can be said that you could put all the links and what not on a user page, but then it is left to the user to click on it...and comparing the two options, having the referral as what feels like part of the registration process created 100% more referals. That is to say that when I was passing users to the page upon registration I was getting users to send referal emails, now that the link has been on the user page, there have been none. Users don't click on things and do stuff if they don't feel a need to. I have been on many a good site, but i dont submit them to social bookmarking sites often, why, I'm busy doing something else. its all about priority.

I really hope that there is something out there...really, to not be able to control where a user goes after a verified login is not using DNN to its fullest.

IMHO

You can setup redirect from Admin >> User Accounts >> User Settings.  In the User Account Settings section, there are options to set page redirect after login, logoff and registration.

yes there are redirects after login and registration. BUT the issue is that after registration on a verified site, the confim email notification page overrides any re-direct, so you can not direct to a page. The verified login is considered to be a regular login by DNN and will redirect to the page defined for redirect after login. I am trying to send a user to a page that they only should need to see one time, after they log in, and then not again...wouldn't want them to be sent to a refer a friend page every time they log in, users would delete accounts...
