Today my DNN 4.05.03 website, which is hosted on Network  Solutions, suddenly became inaccessible and is throwing the following error:

error=Request+for+the+permission+of+type+'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission%2c+mscorlib%2c+Version%3d2.0.0.0%2c+

Culture%3dneutral%2c+PublicKeyToken%3db77a5c561934e089'+failed.&content=0

Intermittently, I have been able to bring up the home page; however, even then navigating to other pages will throw this error. Could this be the result of one of the modules that I have installed, or is it something that is core to the DNN system?

I have asked for tech support from the hosting service; however, I thought it would be helpful to know where to point them to look for the source of the error and to help me fix it

I hope someone can help me, as my website is now down due to this error.

Thanks.

are you able to access the DNN Eventlog to get the defaults for this error? There can be modules forcing it (especially system modules trying to tweak the framework or modules to be shown on all pages), but it is more likely a problem with file system permissions. Have there been changes applied in this area lately?

Where would I find the DNN Eventlog? I can go into my site via FTP and download it if I know which directory to look in. Thanks.

I spoke with the tech support this morning. My DNN is installed in a subdirectory on my site. He told me that it must be installed in the root directory (although it has been running just fine for about 6 weeks in the subdirectory). He also said that I might need to move the DNN web.config file to the root directory (and make appropriate adjustments to it) for the site to run in a subdirectory.

Does this make sense?

Haven't found the DNN Eventlog yet.

Thanks.

the DNN event log is accessible either from inside the portal's Admin menu or in Database, table EventLogs.
