Hi All,

I have a very weird problem. I am currently using Microsoft XP Pro with service pack 2 and I am performing the windows hardening process.

Based on 1 of the steps, I am supposed to configure the event log at the Group Policy Object Editor (the location is at Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Event Log ). However upon arriving at that location, the entire Event Log Policy tab is missing. The only available options shown there are the

Audit Policies, Local Policies, Public Key Policies, Software Restriction Policies and IP Security Policies on Local Computers

are available there. I have tried re-installing the entire OS to double confirm whether the event log is still there but still no avail. Hope that someone will be able to advise me, I am still very noob in this field of area, Thank you.

If there are any other infomation I have left out, please feel free to ask me, I will try to provide the infomation needed. Thanks !
