Hi, Is it possible to have for example, a TOP 5 of links for a given user? What I mean by that is a module that dynamically lists a users most visited links. Also, along the same sort of thinking, for a home page is there a module to dynamically list the hotest subjects in a forum, or maybe the latest subjects from a news page? Thanks for all help and advice.

I haven't found one yet.  I put together one in an ASP site several years ago that read the IIS logs for the last 30 days using LogParser, then posted links to the top five most requested, excluding the home page.  I might have to try that in an ASP.NET/DNN version if I can't find something similar.

FWIW, I did play around with UDT and Reports and the DNN log, but I stopped DNN logging due to other issues so dropped that idea.  Might try something like that if it suits your needs.

Jeff

which kind of links are you referring to? if the links are logged (using the logging option in URLControl), you can place a report on URLLogging table

ich you want to know, how often a user visited a DNN page, you can create a report on the SiteLog table.

Hi, thanks for the replies. What I'm doing here is an intranet site... So I would like a module to either list that particular users most visited places, or allow a user to edit a link module so that they can enter their favourite links. This would mean each user having their own favourite list when they log in. Is this possible with standard modules, or is their a third-party available? Thanks.

to list the most visited internal pages you can create a report using the site log table.

for user specific links you might be able to configure the UserDefinedTable appropriately using "edit own records only" and a filter by user (on field "created by").
