Hello,

I would like to have a simple registration process on my front page that:

  1. Has two fill in fields:
    1. Email Address
    2. CAPTCHA (to elimnate computer registration)
  2. I would then send an email for confirmation where they could choose
    1. Quick response to link to verify membership on email list
    2. Full registration to website (go to default useraccount page)

Does anyone know if such a thing exisits?  Could I modify the existing registration modules to do this?

Thanks for you response

omitting a password is very risky imho.

the second reequirement is a name (first name and last name) you might need for addressing your users, is this really a problem?

The first level reply only gets them on my email newsletter list.  Since they have responded to an email sent, I feel the email owner has been verifed enough to get a newsletter.

If they want to get access to forums or whatever I might add, they would have to fill out a profile with first/last name and password.

this is not how DNN works, sorry. There are 3rd party modules for newsletter registration, which might suit your needs.
