Hi all,

I am looking for some feedback on what developer training courses are out there. I am new to DNN so some basic admin training is also in order. I have found the following 2 companies:

www.engagesoftware.com

and

www.ingensystems.com

Has anybody out there taken the course from either of these companies, or any others that they would recommend? I am looking for hands on training ( lab type ). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, I am a little surprised that there is no advertising or links on the main DNN website to certified trainers? Is it there somewhere and I missed it?

Thanks in advance, Todd.

Hey Todd,

My name is Ian Robinson and I'm the primary content author and instructor for the Module Development courses at Engage Software.  I'll leave the course feedback to the students, but I'd like to quickly address your question regarding DNN certified trainers.  As it stands there is no official DNN certification, and Engage Software is the only Official DNN Training Provider. If you have any questions or concerns about our Module Development courses please feel free to contact us.

Take care,

Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the feedback. We are considering engagesoftware seriously.

However, I would really like to get some feedback from some of the students who have taken your classes. Anybody?

Thanks Todd.

Hello Todd!

I am a student of Engage and I can tell you that the curriculum and instruction is very thorough – be prepared for a lot of information in a short period. The instructors are very professional and patient so you do not have to feel that you are asking any goofy questions or that time is a restraint. The thing I really like about working with Engage is the fact that they provide support to their students after class is all over. Therefore, it is not really just a one-time thing.

The money you will spend will be well worth every penny!

Good luck on your training endeavor!
