I installed a skin I got from a free pack, tweaked it and decided it wasn't going to work, now I have tried everything I can think of and it won't let itself be replaced by another skin. On the host/admin side it will, but on the main site it still displays the old skin. I have tried as admin and host and neither will the skin allow itself to be replaced on the front end view. I have also restarted the DNN application via the host menu with still no success. I can't delete it as it says its being used. Any advice appreciated!

If you physically delete this skin's files (or rename it), the site would then use the default skin.

Thanks for the reply, when I delete it, it does revert back to the default blue DNN theme however the top of the page says:

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/DNND.Silver/Default.ascx Error: The file '/dnn/Portals/_default/Skins/DNND.Silver/Default.ascx' does not exist.

Also I have the same issue, it wont change the theme from the blue default now. I can change it on the admin/host side but wont apply it to the user/public side of the portal??

I never had this happen before... quite perplexed... is it a SQL issue do you think?

Tried changing it from Host/Host Settings? (not Host/Skins)

You might check to see if a skin is explicitly set on one of your pages (like your home page).  First, change the host skin back to the default, and then go through your pages to see what page did not revert back to the default skin.  Go into the Page Functions -> Setttings -> Advanced Settings node and set the page skin to <Not Specified>.  Now try to delete it again.
