I hope this is the right place for this sort of question... (sorry, if it isn't).

I'm new to DNN and it's power and extensibility are huge strengths, but also a little daunting.

I'm looking to provide a Website that allows user registration and then access to multiple galleries or albums or even files;  some might be free whilst others would be chargeable.  So, a user can register for free,  look at thumbnails of American Hotrods but, if they want to see the full version then they need to purchase access (via PayPal?).

Is this the kind of add-on that is available, or would I be looking at paying someone to develop it?

Thanks in advance

There are several ways to accomplish that.  What you want to do is create a Security Role that someone has to pay to get access too.

You can do this with core DNN and PayPal by using the Advanced Settings for a role to set a billing fee.

The core DNN subscriptions are not as easy to setup as the low cost Ventrian DotNetNUke Subscription Tools though.

John - thanks for the response.  I'm a *huge* fan of some paying for something, if it works and if it makes my life easier.  And 'low cost' helps    I'll install DNN

I will second the recommendation of the Ventrian products.....the best money I've ever spent!
