Hi

Every couple weeks I get a complaint that site visitors are annoyed that they have to register with the site to see information that I have already set up as public. I also see a higher level of new registrants than I would otherwise expect leading me to believe a few people a day are experiencing this. The pages they are trying to access are public, as are the folders from which the files come. Is there some quirky thing going on here? Could it be their browser settings? Doesn't happen with most visitors, but enough to make me look into it.

Thanks
Mike

A vague, randomly occuring problem is impossible to fix.  Pin it down with logs, request specifics from users, etc.

Ok, sorry. Just hadn't been able to get any of them to respond with more specific info after some repeated attempts to contact them. Didn't see anything in the logs but I'll see if I can't get one or two of them to provide more info.
