Hi All,

I have a quick question. I have submitted my sitemap to google about a week ago. They have already indexed our site. But their webmaster tools gave a warning about identical priorities in all pages. I've searched these forums and have seen that this is a common issue now.

One of the threads suggested a free tool to generate a 3rd party sitemap. "GSiteCrawler". The sitemap that this tool created has been uploaded to google.

Here's the thing, the DNN sitemap that has warnings only shows 187 urls. The GSiteCrawler map shows 1234 urls...with NO WARNINGS! This is great.

Now for the question...can I delete the DNN sitemap from google and only have it use the new one I gave it without screwing up google? Or would I be better off leaving it there? Wiil having 2 sitemaps have any adverse effects on how we get crawled/indexed?

Hope someone has an answer as I'm inclined to remove the DNN one from google webmaster tools.

Yes, you should be able to remove sitemap.aspx from the listing of site maps in google!

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for the supporting perspective. I think I'll go ahead and delete the default DNN map and see what happens...if it breaks our listings...can I sleep on your couch?

Hi,

How long did it take for you to get indexed? Did you put your root www.domain.com or did you use www.domain.com/dnn?  I am not sure which to use with mine and it seem google wont index my site, it has been about 3 days.

Nolan
