Hi, I'm a new user of DNN.  I was working on my site yesterday and all was going well.  I had downloaded a new skin and had installed it.  Then for some reason, I decided to click on update the container.  I thought everything was going ok, but it sure seemed to be taking a long time.  Now I can't even get into the site.  How do I get back in?  When I go there I just get a "page not found" error.  BTW, what is the difference between a skin and a container?  Please help!  sure would hate to start completely over!

Generally spoken, a container is a "frame" for a module placed on a page, which itself is styled by a skin.

If you applied an offending skin or container, you can correct the issue by deleting the skin/container folder, which resides inside any of the following folders:

/portals/_default/skins
/portals/_default/containers
/portals/0/skins
/portals/0/containers

Found the problem - just had to remove the containers that were not containers.  All good now! Phew!
