Does anyone here have this module? I am using an evaluation version right now. Based on what the website says, it should fit my needs for lead tracking and project management. However, I can't find any substantial documentation or user guide. Does anyone have any tips or other advice to offer?

Check that - found a user guide, of sorts. On the official site you can view what are effectively pages detailing what to do, but you can't just download the complete thing. Ah well. The "User Interactions" setting is not even showing up so there's a problem somewhere...

Okay, I'm just keeping this thread alive instead of starting a new one... I'm becoming more familiar with SigmaPro, but there's something I can't figure out.  I'm not sure if it's me not understanding correctly or a setting that I've set up incorrectly. My question is in relation to the "Show Hidden Fields" and "Hide Hidden Fields from Team Members" options.

First, from the manual, the two settings:

Show Hidden Fields: Superusers, Administrators, and accounts with Full Access can set field visibility when non-Team users are viewing items. If you would like to show the fields that are hidden but not allow users to edit the values, check this box. To set fields to be enabled, open any ticket in the module and check the fields you want users to have access to and click Save. (I do not have this item checked)

Hide Hidden Fields from Team Members: Check this to hide hidden fields from Team Members. If you also check Show Hidden Fields, this has no effect. (I have this item checked)

To my understanding, this means that if I've checked the box next to "Hide Hidden Fields..,"  then any user (even members of the team assigned to the project or task) will only be able to view the options I've checked off/enabled in the task window.

In the task window, to the right of each editable parameter, there are empty check boxes; I assume these are for the show/hide hidden fields options. I've tried any combination of checking/unchecking the boxes (and hitting Save afterwards), and no matter what, any user authorized to view the task can change every parameter.

Does anyone know what to do about this? I've tried contacting Onyak support but it's been close to 2 weeks with no response (I suppose he could be on vacation or something). I'm sure there are people on here who use SigmaPro... I think 'duchoangle' mentioned he/she did in another onyak related post. Any suggestions?

I've spent planty of time on Sigma Pro without much success, however it does work and there are people using it, so I plan to give it another (4th) big effort soon. The developer often has bursts of activity, but has been quiet lately.

I've checked the forum there for queries that might relate to your issue and will paste a couple of his responses in - note that these are just snippets, not related to each other,  and may not specifically fit your issue:

Go back and check the Teams Can See All Items (This controls the View list in the task list.  Assigned, Relevant, Creator, etc) option the Security seciton.  Then check Hide Hidden Fields from Teams in User Interactions.

You can only show them as disabled or not at all. One option is to set the visible property of the control to False in the ASCX files, but this will effect all projects. You could also use the Help Desk add-on module as an alternative UI.

Yes, log-in as host and then open an issue. You will see a checkbox next to each field in the issue, these are used to set visibility for users. By default, all un-checked fields will be visible but disabled. You can change this to hide them as well by using the " Show Hidden Fields " option in Edit SigmaPro/User Interactions.

Anything useful in that? One thing I'm aware of is that when you're signed in as host, you get a different/full view regardless of what you set.

Kiefer, I wonder if you are using an old version of SigmaPro.  What version are you using?  Also, what is your ticket ID on www.OnyakTech.com?  You can always call us and if your need is critical, feel free to email me directly.

When logged in as Host or a user that has Full Access (granted from the Settings module menu option) you will see the checkboxes next to each field in a ticket to set the enabled/visible setting.  These accounts will also always see all tickets and projects, any security settings are ignored.

The option to "Show Hidden Fields" in "Edit SigmaPro-->User Interactions" will make them visible, but disabled to all users unless you are in a Team.  Checking "Hide Hidden Fields from Team Members" will also hide the fields from anyone in a Team as well making them visible to Super Users and accounts with Full Access only.

What is your desired goal?
