I need help.  I have the starter kit loaded with VS2008.  So the dotnetduke.zip is located in project Templates/Visual Web Developer/VisualBasic.  When I create a new web site project, the site is setup from the dotnetnuke.zip file as it should be but when I try to build the web site from Solution Explorer, I get the following error

Building directory '/DoctorsOfficeManager/App_GlobalResources/'.

(0): Build (web): Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Provider.AspNetProvider' or one of its dependencies. The parameter is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))

I have totally removed everything and reinstalled VS2008 and VWD and DOTNETNUKE starter kit  -  Mult times.  Still same thing.  I have no idea what to do next.

Thanks

Hi Jim,

I have exact the same problem as you have.

Did you come up with a solution?

Kind regards.

Fabian

DotNetNuke does not support precompilation, e.g. you can compile library only. web site simply needs to be launched, not compiled.
