New to DNN and trying to choose 4.x over 3.22. Our environment will support either, and would prefer 4.x with SQL 2005 and VS 2005 for development.

Any comments about the stability of 4.x over 3.22? Any large sites using 4.x successfully?
Thanks!

Either Portal is good, however most of our clients choose to stay on 3.x because of the number a available modules (though it is pretty close now), it has a longer track record, and most every hosting company/network admin supports 1.1.  However, some projects have required 4.x because of feature in .Net 2.0 that were required in the final product (like the built-in workflow engine now in .Net 2.0).  All said and done it is really your choice, in most cases you will get the same end result.

I have noticed that dotnetnuke.com is 3.2.2. When will they it switch and why has it now switched to this point.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking.  Can you elaborate a little more?

Robert,

I believe the previous post is suggesting that the website for DotNetNuke itself (dotnetnuke.com) is using versin 3.22 (per the page's source code).

If this is true, he brings up a good point.  Why is DotNetNuke not using the latest version?
