Hi, I am a non-technical person, trying to use DNN.  I originally created a default.html template(page/website) using a template from Template World.  I am trying to figure out if I can use this on the DNN website or if I need to use a DNN template. Can someone help me understand this?

It has to be a DNN template. DNN templates contain bits of code that it uses to display itself within the template. The template's files must also be structured in a way that divides what are called skins from what are called containers and puts them all in the right places.

A skin developer can convert most any template to work with DNN, but on a budget you'll likely be better served looking for a commercial DNN skin on Snowcovered.com or a free one from elsewhere e.g. http://www.xd.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=152
