Hi,

I am working on a site that has 2 parts. One is where people donate goods & services. The other is those who ask for goods & services. In the middle, i link the 2. No money changes hands.

As a starting point i was introduced to the repository today which is a great start. It has many features that im looking for. Rating, search, categories (not sure about subcatagories) Problem is it doesnt look like i can sort by a new field (like location) & I dont want users to be downloading anything.

I know my explanation is brief but what does the forum think is the best module to do this.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I'd go for something like XMod. What you want is to have a common data backend where you store the available offerings. One module needs to be able to make changes to this data, the other needs to display it. If it is in XML you can use XSL to make very nifty presentations. This way you can make it look like something completely different than the management backend module.

My 2cts,

Peter

While the respository module is so good that many people often extend it to uses outside it's original purpose/niche I would have to vote for Xmod as well.'
