I've been asked an interesting question regarding DNN; can it do 'web parts' style functionality? www.bbc.co.uk is an example of a site where an individual can choose what they see on a section of the site (I think Yahoo's My Page is the same and there are plenty of others I would imagine). The basic concept is that each user has an area (usually a single pane on a page named 'My xxxx' where they can decide what they see, i.e. where they can add and remove modules.

Does anyone know a way of achieving this without the admin overhead of creating a page per user?

Is it possible to create a module to host a series of other modules? My initial response is that this wouldn't work as you wouldn't be able to place the data in the TabModules table (as it doesn't relate to a tab as such) but I'd welcome anyone else's thoughts.

Having looked at MyProfile/Active Profile, I can see that this might offer a reasonable solution along the lines we were after.
