Hello Miguel

I know you are excited with DNN..

Since i haven't used any of those services recommended above ,i don't like to add my host to the list to make you more confuse.

Before you start gathering info for host, try to know your requirements in detail like price, support, dnn friendly env, bandwidth, space, sql server etc.

You can check webhostingtalk.com which is a good hosting community to start with.

Miguel,

I must also add my recommendation for PowerDNN. Performance and support are both excellent, and their specialty is DotNetNuke.

I am also looking for DNN hosting. So far, PowerDNN looks good but i found a suspicious posting on the forum.

Does anybody using powerdnn.com recognize this happening on your site?

Hi Tak,

There were some similar posts on the DNN forums recently (here, and here).  I don't have any specific PowerDNN experience, but thought they might shed some light onto your question.

Hi All,

This is something that we implemented briefly a while back.  It basically started out as a way to amke it easy for customers to use google analytics with a DNN site.  We were getting a lot of questions about analytics modules and adding the script to a text html module on every page. So we basically made an include file that got rendered in the default.aspx, this way the google script would run on every page.  This was a test run that we only deployed to about 25% of our client base.  At PowerDNN we use our own default install where we give customers good information about our services and some of our partners, well, out of the box this file contained a link to PowerDNN, then customers would change it to use a google script or anything they wanted.  To make a long story short, some of the customers that were part of this test run didn't like that the PowerDNN link was there so we promptly removed it from every site that was part of this trial.

We are very much in tune to our customers needs, and overwhelmingly we make decisions based on feedback.  That wasn't something that our customers liked so it was gone.  Lesson learned I guess, but you can be sure that that is no longer part of our installations.  I hope that sheds a little light on it for you.  I know that has come up in these forums a couple times, but this is the great things about a community, it keeps everyone accountable.  Anyway, it's good to see a little action on the forums today, they have been a little dead lately.

John
