I would give dotnetpark.com a thumbs up as a reliable and helpful host, good prices, good performance, and good support.

This is my first attempt to look for an external windows server - for DNN.  I've looked at other DNN hosting company websites. PowerDNN is a bit more expensive than others but I still feel that this company is the way to go.  The site looks nice & clean. I like that. I was not too impressed by other company sites.  Well,, somebody used an expression "Lipstick on a pig" on TV other day. However, I always believe that the website is a mirror image of the company itself.  Also, I felt much better that the company representive (John) is propmptly responding to the postings like this.

ANYWAY, I'll be contacting them soon and see what's gonna happen. I'll start with smaller package and report it here (Good or Bad.)

Thank you for the posting, everyone.

If, however, you may need some DNN or server side issue support I recommend PowerDNN.

Some of the things I would check with any hoster would be:

  • Plesk control panel and/or ability to do your own backups?

I have four websites hosted with PowerDNN and I must say their support has been VERY good with the exception of last weekend.  I will spare those details right now but I do want to point out that their Plesk system has some serious issues as far as backups are concerned.  Just because you see a backup file created by the system doesn't necessarily mean it's actually backed up.  They have had to use their image backup to restore my site each time I've attempted to restore it to an earlier state (which isn't done every day so there is some data loss).  I'll post more on this issue soon.

I'm too poor for anything other than the community version

Hi Ryno,

Thanks for the compliments.

Ya - I'm sorry about about last week.  Parallels and MailEnable both released critical software updates last week that seem to have caused more problems than they fixed.  We've been getting a much heavier volume of tickets because of the bugs the patches introduced, but we are working hard to keep everyone happy and continue providing the best hosting and support for DotNetNuke.

Thanks for your continued support even through these rough times.

If you are looking for a dedicated server I would suggest ServerBeach or MaximumASP.
