I am not getting email notifications yet but it appears I can now create new threads.

Sebastian, firstly thanks for getting something moving.  Secondly, is it possible to find out what was done to fix the problem?  Only asking as there hasn't been a new version of the forums module released so anyone using the module could run into the same problem.

FYI The issue is not forum related - we were trying out a 3rd party module on dotnetnuke.com and one of it's scheduled tasks ran continuously and never finished (probably due to the large membership on dotnetnuke.com). This had the side effect of slowing down our mail server scheduled task, which only ran once every 45 minutes rather than once a minute, meaning that mail became really, really slow. The scheduled task for the 3rd party module was stopped a day or so ago, and since then mails have been catching up.

Thanks Cathal, any idea about what fixed the some users not being able to post (e.g. Me as one) but now they can?

TIA

Yes, same question.

Posting has been broken for just under a year. I've tested again just now and it has started working again. Now I can finally remove all the forum subscriptions.
