Hi,

I am looking for a new CMS. I have an editorial team that is geographically distributed.

I want the journalists to beable to cntribute content for approval by the editor. The editor should have to do very little other than review the content. He or she shouldn't have to do any formatting. He or she should be able to retire old content to the archive, and replace it with the new content as it is approved.

Can DotNetNuke deliver this kind of function?

Kind regards,

Cormac.

DotNetNuke does currently not offer Content Approval or workflow out of the box, but there are 3rd party modules like Engage Publish!, you may utilize.

Engage Publish! is probably the one that fits your requirements.  There are others that may be less expensive but may also lack a few of your desired qualities.  Might look at Ventrian's News Articles too.

There's also the Repository Module which is part of the DNN core.

Besides Publish, which I think is absolutely a first-class product, there is a new free module: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=825&EntryID=2025
