After upgrading to 4.9 I had a problem related to permissions and linkclick as described in this post.

I am wondering about the linckclick function and if there is a way to turn off globally on an installation through admin or host. I have never used it and have google analytics on all my sites. It is also my understanding that the new GA.js script will allow you to track files downloaded from your site without adding additional code to the link that urchin.js needed.

thanks,

No, there is no way to turn LinkClick off.

Thanks for your great blog post Tom.  My situation is that I have a client with lots of nontechnical folks adding content all the time. I cannot tell them to find the "absolute link" to use instead of what is served up by FCK. They would just not be able to figure it out.

I think that DNN should give you the option to turn linkclick off.

Thanks,

Will

I understand your dilemma, but the only option right now as far as I know is switching from Fck to the Telerik editor (and then using the Custom Links dropdown.)
