I've noticed an extreme amount of new dll's create in the Windows temp folder and I'm wondering if this is DNN?

I believe all youre seeing is temporary assemblies created by xmlserialization (we have a number of classes that use that in dotnetnuke). This is perfectly normal, as asp.net will generate a temporary dll and then delete it after use - if it's not deleting them then your permissions may be wrong. Theres some more details plus directions to move the temp folder if that's an issue @ http://www.hanselman.com/blog/ChangingWhereXmlSerializerOutputsTemporaryAssemblies.aspx

perfectly normal? uhh I mean I realize "partially" what's going on here, but after a while how many lost dll's do you think that leaves behind for a host that's got quite a few dnn sites up and running for quite some time now. Don't you think we should be a little bit of clean up going on? what about hosts for cp's out there now that monitor diskspace, bandwidth and resources consumption for clients for usage? You should see how many different versions of application "uniquename".dll's collect with these temp folders after a short amount of time running quite a few different versions.

What's really interesting if watching the some of these files popup within component monitors for firewall software and trying to manually scan and filter such as safe for server consumption....lol, took me a min. to figure out where they we're coming from.

and why do I have this tingling sensation going down my spine about module developers creating something else then just temporary dll's created within the windows temp directory?
