I love the blog 3.05 new functionality. The gravatar and the social bookmarking options brings the module to  par with current web standards. However, I think that these functionality would belong at the portal level rather than at the module level. Are tere any intention to bring gravatar and social bookmark as part of the corp functionality so that all modules could leverage the functionality?

Any thoughts? Any yeas? Any neas?

Gravatar is a concept for globally-unique avatars which was created by Tom Werner. On Gravatar, users can register an account based on their email address, and upload an avatar to be associated with the account. Gravatar plugins are available for popular blogging software; when the user posts a comment on such a blog that requires an e-mail address, the blogging software checks whether that e-mail address has an associated avatar at Gravatar.

I think what Fabrice is hinting at is having the gravatar setting as a standard user profile setting so it can pop up anywhere. The the social bookmarking could be a seperate module you can throw on a page (or on all pages).

Fabrice: I think this will come up in our discussions. This is quite common. A module (project) implements some new technology and it is sandboxed there. Then, it migrates to the core if it is found to be stable/useful/etc.
