Hi All,

I have been working on a new Amazon storefront & cart. It queries Amazon real-time as well as provides an Amazon cart.

I am thinking about wrapping this up in a DNN module assuming there is enough community interest.

Check it out here and let me know what you think:

There are still some bugs I need to address and a few refinements to make. But for the most part, functionally complete.

If there is enough interest, it should only take me a few days to produce the code as a DNN module. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Warm regards,

Hey guys and gals,

I've seen some people from here checking out my Amazon storefront and cart system from the web logs...thank you!

Just had an interesting thought and would like your feedback.

Right now, the Storefront is running in an iFrame on the site. I'm thinking rather than wrapping it up as a DNN module and selling it, what if I gave people the url to it so you can use it in an iFrame on your own website? For FREE?

All you would have to do is pass in your Amazon Affiliate ID in the querystring to http://storefront.senior-clique.com. This would allow you to have a complete real-time, Amazon store and cart on your site for free. By passing in your AffID, YOU will get the commissions from Amazon. All that I would ask is to allow me to embed my own Google Adsense into it so I can get the AdSense revenue on it. It's a "Win-Win" for all. It costs you nothing and we can both make money on it with the holiday season coming up!

If there is interest, it would only take me a day or two to modify it to support dynamic Amazon Affiliates with your won CSS stylesheets and I could create different catalog layouts to customize it to your AffID...

Any thoughts...takers?

It's a very good thought but you might run into exceeding monthly traffice limits by your hosting provider if too many people start putting iframes on their sites.

I am thinking of building an dotnetnuke module using the amazon affiliate, hopefully at the site www.techscrip.com I will be posting some solution soon, and it will be totally be part of the portal and it will look as if it's just like any other dotnetnuke page with categories and products page directly pulled from amazon site.

have you done anything new with your store regarding the amazon affiliate?

I say you wrap it up as a module and charge enough that it is reasonable for the consumer but you make enough of a profit to adequately maintain it and it be worth your while.  I receive constant requests for storefronts and all things ecommerce+DNN related.  If your product is good, I see a strong market for it.
