I have downloaded two different Google Analytics modules, one free and one purchased.  I have followed the normal procedure for installing the module by browsing to the pa file and clicking on the Intalls the Module button.  I have tried to install them on three different DNN installed sites and get the same error each time.  The error says -

Failure Did not find any .dnn file ???
Failure ExceptionSystem.Exception: File load failed, aborting at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.ReadZipStream() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

I opened the zip file and find a file titled  googleanalytics.dnn - but the installation still says  Did not find any .dnn file ???

Thank you for the prompt response.

These are the only two modules I have tried to install so far, but I did try it on three different DNN installations, and got the same error.  How can I check the file system permissions?  One of the dnn istallations in on my local host computer and the other two are at EasyCGI.

Thinking it strange that neither of these two modules will install on three different DNN sites, I downloaded a third module just to see if it would install.  It worked with no problems.  Therefore, I don't think the problem is with the DNN site - but with the two modules.  Any suggestions??

Sometimes modules are packaged in such a way that the zip you have downloaded may not be the zip that you need to upload to DNN.

Try and unzip the file you downloaded manually and see if there is another zip inside of it that you can upload.  Many times, the developer will include documentation or other information in the zip that you download, requiring you to unzip it on your computer first before uploading the actual installation zip file contained within it.  That is how we do it, so I can imagine some other developers do it as well.
