Hi,

One of my pages is timing out and I always find my use of Profiler a bit hit and miss. I run it, tweak it a bit, look for oddities in the duration and check those SPs. Are there any best practises for looking for stored procs that are taking too long?

What columns should I be viewing? Is there anyway to show the SQL actiivty from my client request only?

I changed the Default filter to show activity for my portal login only, and removed the Audit tracing. Now it shows RPC Completed and SQL statements. Should I filter on Duration over a certain size? What is the best indicator of a problem in a SP in Profiler?
