Dear friends,

I have purchased "Active Forums" 4.1 version. Now i wish to remove the "Active Forums" link and logo displayed at the bottom of the module.

I have tried my extent to remove it, but everything in vain.

If anybody could help me, it would of highly useful to me.

All replies are appreciated.

regards,

deepak

Hi Depak,

As I mentioned to you on our forums, this is a requirement for Active Forums Lite (FREE) version.

I have aksed the same question on the AF forums and was told that it was possible and would remain (the link is gone in AF Enterprise 4.1.4 but the product branding text remains). I think this is ridiculous (I could MAYBE understand it on a free product but not one that I have paid a lot of money for - imagine if DNN required you to keep the DNN product branding visible?).

I'm sure Active Modules will remove this limitation if enough people do not want it.

Lets not overreact or jump to conclusions.  There is a topic in the Active Forums Enterprise Forums that describes exactly how to do this and how we made it easy for you to do with Active Forums Enterprise.

I also don't like how active modules lock their own customers out of their forum's if your out of support time. I find this a joke not being able to view threads so that you can help yourself or get community support.

I think active modules offer great products but for these very reasons I cannot recommend them to other people.

What makes you think we do this?  This hasn't been the case for almost a year now.  The only sections that are locked down are the Enterprise Forums.  The Enterprise license is subscription based.  You do have to have an active subscription to access the Enterprise forums.

I see, your reply, (in it's entirety, on your Enterprise AF forum) was:

"The link has been removed already in AF 4.1.4. The product name will remain."

I think there is only one conclusion from that statement to jump to?

Glad I looked at this again.  Didn't realize you were going to change your original reply.

Again, it's in the Enterprise forums, probably second to last page.  If you have problems understanding the necessary css, feel free to create a support ticket.
