Hello, I'm currently studying a masters in 'Software technology for the Web' in Edinburgh. I'm very interested in contributing to development of DotNetNuke for my MSc disertation. First off this is roughly what my disertation proposal entails... Brief description of research area To contribute to a open source CMS to allow the dynamic formatting of content, based on how the site is being accessed. For example, whether the site is being accessed on a Mobile Phone, Web Browser, or PDA. Areas of research will include the hurdles that are imposed on such a solution when the target display medium lacks supported standards, or provides proprietary extensions to the standards, for example, I-mode and WAP 2. The reasons why standards aren’t yet in place will be considered. Also implications for the future of web access on handheld devices will be speculated. Questions my research will address What hurdles are imposed on a multi-platform CMS solution when target display medium lacks supported standards, or provides proprietary extensions to the standards? Why are standards not in place for accessing the web on other platforms such as Mobiles and PDA’s, and what are the future implications? I'd really like to hear peoples feedback on this and whether theres a place for it in the development of the DotNetNuke project. Thanks!

Hi, I'm project lead for the DNN News Project.  This is an project that I am looking for help with, and is somewhat open to definition at this point.  I could very much see a mobile application aspect of this module and would be interested in exploring that potential aspect and how you might be involved.  If you are interested, shoot me an email at jmcwilliam@flatburger.com.
