Hi there.

I am new to .Net Nuke, but I have heard that there is a lot of great functionality "out of the box" and that the community is great. I am looking to get started on a charity website that manages users, manages emails to send out/remind people to donate, has a mini webpage for each user to tell people why they are doing this activity to raise money for this charity etc. Where would I go to find info about if someone has already built a similar template? Ideas?

Thanks, Mike

sorry, but you should not expect to get a suitable solution out of the box. DotNetNuke can be customised for millions different needs and you will need to either get famiiliar with this software or you need to find a DNN expert, who might build the site appropriately for you.

I probably worded that wrong. I am a developer that is new to dnn. I wanted to see what modules are available that I can piece together into an app. I have downloaded the project. What is the best place to get started?

check out how it works at demo.dotnetnuke.com.

Install the framework locally (using install package), select some of th packaged modules during installation process and play around.

Look at the forge, the marketplace and snowcovered for 3rd party modules.

Get to know about module development at dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com.

Hi,

You might not get this out of the box, but you can easilly develop for it. You never know, you might even get some contributions from some members here in the forums...
