Our homeschool group has been using DNN for several years, I had a question regarding emails going out to the entire subscriber list. Currently, we have to log in and either upload, or compose a message to forward out to the list.

Can an email address be set up to directly forward a message to, rather than having to go to the website...etc...?

I am considering some other alternatives; but was hoping this was do-able.

Thanks!

David,

You can use Axon for this.  Just setup a Campaign and set to the "Auto Responder" mode.  Axon will monitor your POP3 Inbox for any emails (or any emails with specific key words in the subject and body of the email) and then auto-forward the email to everyone on the Campaigns recipients list.

Details are on the following page:

The other option is to use a mailing list program outside of DNN, but then getting the user email addresses from the DNN database becomes problematic.  Onyaktech's module is probably the most graceful at doing this from within DNN.

Thanks for the note Chris,

the OnyakTech appears to be a paid software solution. Is there not anything within DNN that is free? I really am just learning about DNN, and pretty unfamiliar, most of my sites are wordpress. We are just trying to find an easier way to forward emails out to the subscriber list,

Thanks again!

David,

I am sorry, but your request is not fulfilled by a built in function and I am not aware of any free solution for it.

Cheers from Germany,
