Hi all,

Well I'm just a beginner. I have few queries about DNN. I hope, you all will help me.

I have built a webiste in DNN. Built in the sense that I added what all should be in the website. Now I need to host the website.

- Where do I host ? Do I need to have my own server ?

I heard that there are few website hosting third party's.. Can anyone give me information about those in India !

- Once the website is hosted, suppose someone(who doesnt have DNN Installed on his system) visits my site and if he/she logins into my website using     ADMIN/HOST username and password, will he get the EDIT option ? Do they have rights to install new modules too ?

Please help me.

Regards

Manish Thaduri

anyone that can logon as host can add modules and has full admin rights. It is therefor important to have a secure password, and possibly even create a new host account with a less obvious username

Thank you. Thats great, so whoever logins with Host credentials has all the rights to EDIT the content of the website irrespective of whether DNN is installed or not in the system in which he opened the website. right ?

And what about my first query regarding 'Hosting the website' ?

 Hi Manish,

Once you've built your site, you can either host it inhouse or sign up with a hosting provider.  Unless you have a big site, you won't need a dedicated server so a shared hosting account would work fine for you.
