Hi,

I've a site with DNN 4.2.7 since a year ago. Two days ago all my web site was down, when I try to open the main page all I see is "an error has occured" twice with an red exclamation icon, in IIS logs appear an URL with "reference to an object not set as a object reference" (traslated from spanish)

I've restored de data base but it wasn't work, I also tried restore the DNN folder, but it wasn't work either.

Any idea about what is the problem?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sebastian,

Before the total failure (15 days before) I had to reinstall the news module becouse it hang the portal. Reinstalling the module from the DNN administration web worked and all was fine in 15 days. Suddenly all site was down and all I see is the message "an error has occurred"

I've tried (in order of desesperation :P)

restart the IIS

restart the server

restore a copy of data base

restore a copy of DNN installation folder

The only thing I've seen is the entry in the IIS log that  I wrote in the original post

Thanks for your interest

Alberto
