Hi,

I recently started using Vista cuz I got a new computer, but for some reason non of the tutorials I've tried to install dnn correctly have worked. I've tried a lot of different tutorials on details about IIS 7 etc. I'm getting this error:

HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized

You do not have permission to view this directory or page because of the access control list (ACL) configuration or encryption settings for this resource on the Web server.

Here's the html doc so u can consult. Click to enlarge.

Hi Jp.

I have DNN running on Vista without any Probs.

Have you checked, whether the right accounts are having sufficiant rights on the installaltion-directory or whether the Vista-IIS is running under the correct mode???

I could ask a few tens more questions but believe me, there are some really good docs here explaining what exactly to do. Just search in the forum for "VISTA" and you will find it straight away.

By the way, your error-screen shows some MS Knowledgebase articles. Have you read them?
