Hi everyone,

I may be a little hasty, or maybe blind, but I could not find any true documentation about release 5.0: the change log has a miriads of pieces of information, but could not find decent "release notes" that clearly states what to expect about this version besides some architectural changes, and a couple of threads about skinning.

I mean: have there been any REAL change regarding module features since version 4.9? Forget about architecture: I mean FEATURES. Many module versions look the same than 6 months ago, even the version numbers are the same. Are there new modules, are the old ones are fully compatible, are they the same?

To make things worse, documentation appears to be nonexistent: ALL the documentation files are dated to year 2006, even the installation and skinning guides are that old, as well as all the rest of the files (even though there are more files than in the 4.x documentation). installation makes no mention whatsoever about DNN 5.0.

Ahow about start a wiki for documentation that can be progressively be updated? (if there is one, please forgive me and give me the link :-) )

Can I risk to put this version in a production site?

Maybe I getting dissapointed too quickly... can anybody convince me on the contrary?

Thans in advance,

                 Adrián

PS: btw, does the forum module still have the bug of notifications not working?

I think 5.0.1 will be released pretty soon. Maybe this month? So I would wait till then.

If you look at Gemini, most of the reported bugs are fixed and checked in.
