I am currently looking for a standalone knowledge base module. I have seen a few out there that exist as part of a ticketing solution, but would like some input from the community to see if there are any standalone modules that other have used with positive results.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank You!!

Hey Sebasian:

The KB will be used by multiple clients so the requirements are fairly broad and listed in order of importance.

  • Multi-level access control by user and role for categories and articles
  • Multiple categories per article
  • Integrated search or ability to integrate with DNN search
  • Side bar navigation
  • Ability to import content, XML authoring would be a big plus
  • Cross Referencing between articles
  • Multiple Language support would be nice
  • Export options would be nice such as: PDF and CHM
  • Built in DMS would be nice; a WebDav inclusion would be even nicer

Any input would be greatly appreciated as I can not seem to find very many KB modules out there.

Thank You!!
