Hi, i'm trying to dynamically add columns into DataGridView.  I have several stored procedures and each procedure returns different columns for employee.  for example sp_1 has two columns Name, Age.   sp_2 has three columns Name, Age, Gender.  each sp meant to be for different reports.  i use employee object in employeecontroller to get a list of employees and use ObjectDataSource to porpulate Grid.  How can I detect in advance that there are only two columns for sp_1 so that i can dynamically add two columns Name, Age into the grid.  if i just autogenerate columns then Gender would on report_1 (using sp_1) and i want to avoid that. please please help.

thanks,

One way would be just to use the one stored proc. that returnsa all columns, then in your code set the gender column to visible or not based on the situation.
